Jesus stands between her and the mob, and promises to marry her, which takes the wind out of the sails of the mob and they leave. ![]() When last we left Ana, she was being stoned in the marketplace for being an unmarried widow-her betrothed died before the actual marriage ceremony. ![]() Let's pick up the story after the first quarter previously reviewed. Because what I had heard definitely set my expectations, and then the book profoundly failed to meet them. ![]() I am wondering about whether this book is really this disappointing, or if it has to do with my expectations of it. ![]()
